Who We Are

The Classroom Agriculture Program (CAP) has been bringing agriculture education to Alberta classrooms since 1985. Over the years, thousands of students have explored where their food comes from and gained a deeper understanding of the role agriculture plays in their daily lives.

Designed for Grade 4 and 5 students, CAP helps youth understand the importance of agriculture in Alberta, the people and industries behind it, and the many opportunities the sector offers. Volunteers deliver the program at no cost to schools, using storytelling, hands-on props, and interactive activities to make learning memorable and fun.

CAP is now part of Agriculture for Life, a long-time funding partner of the program.
