Who We Are

The Classroom Agriculture Program (CAP) began delivering agriculture education to Alberta students in 1985 and has been growing ever since. To date, over 600,000 students have participated in our program. CAP is about the food you eat and where it comes from. CAP explains the value and importance of agriculture in Alberta. It highlights the vast opportunities in agriculture and the people, producers and industries that drive this trade. The program is presented to grade four and five students across Alberta at no charge. Volunteers deliver the program through storytelling, engaging props and fun activities.

CAP is now part of Agriculture For Life, a long-time funding partner of the program.
